A clear, honest read on where you stand.
A structured 30-day look at your IT setup, where you stand on security, and where you stand on compliance. Written findings, a ranked to-do list, and a realistic budget — yours to keep, whether you work with us afterward or not.
Why start here
Before you sign anything, know where you stand.
Most IT vendor relationships start with a sales conversation that turns into a contract. Six months later, both sides realize the scope was wrong, the budget was off, and key gaps were never spotted.
The IT Assessment exists to fix that. A structured, honest look at your setup, with written findings you can use to make informed decisions — including the decision not to work with us.
What you get
Four deliverables. All yours to keep.
A picture of what you actually have
A written inventory of your people, devices, applications, sign-ins, network, and cloud services. The map of what you actually have — often the first time anyone's put it on paper.
Where you stand on security
Findings organized around NIST CSF 2.0, the U.S. cybersecurity standard, with clear severity ratings. What's covered, what's missing, and what would happen if a real incident hit today.
Where you stand on compliance
How you measure up against the security standards your industry cares about — SOC 2, HIPAA, FTC Safeguards, GLBA, SEC Reg S-P. Specific gaps and a realistic estimate of the work to close them.
A prioritized to-do list
Specific, ranked actions to close gaps and improve security. Each item with an effort estimate and budget range — you can take it to any IT provider, including us.
The process
30 days. Four phases. Zero disruption.
Discovery
Structured conversations with leadership and key staff. Look-only access to your systems. We learn the business before we touch the technology.
Technical review
Sign-ins, computers, cloud, network, backups, security tools, and applications. We look at how they're set up, not just what you have.
Analysis
We map our findings to risks and the standards your industry cares about. We separate root causes from symptoms. We build a ranked to-do list with realistic effort estimates.
Deliverables
Written report and to-do list. Live walkthrough with your leadership team. Q&A. Documents you keep regardless of what you decide.
Common questions
Frequently asked.
Are we obligated to work with you after the assessment?
No. The assessment is a standalone piece of work. You get the deliverables and decide what to do next — whether that's working with us, working with another provider, or handling it internally. The to-do list is yours to use however helps your business — including pushing your current IT provider to improve, or building a case for an internal hire.
How much of our staff's time will this take?
Usually 4-6 hours total from your team across the full 30 days. Mostly leadership conversations in week 1 and a walkthrough of the findings in week 4. Technical staff may have a few targeted conversations in week 2. The rest is on us.
Do you share findings with our current IT vendor?
Only if you ask us to. The assessment is your property. Some businesses use it to switch providers. Others share it with their current provider to push for improvements. Your call entirely.
What if we don't have any IT staff or vendor?
That's actually a common starting point. We can work entirely with leadership and any third parties (your Microsoft 365 admin, network provider, etc.). Many businesses have inherited IT setups where nobody can answer basic questions — the assessment is often the first time anyone has documented the whole picture.
